Fall Fashion is Upon Us and Winter’s Just Around the Corner…

Grab your mom, sister, or girlfriends and gear up for the perfect shopping day.  Take a stroll down Washington St. in Hoboken, NJ.  If you don’t live in Hoboken I would recommend a Sunday, as it’s the one day parking is free in Hoboken. Choose a weekend when the weathers nice and wear a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Within Hoboken’s one square mile, there are a number of great women’s apparel & home décor shops. You won’t find any of the same pieces in any two boutiques. This was a smart and intentional decision made collectively by the suppliers and the boutique owners to make the overall Hoboken shopping experience what it is today…in a word; fabulous! You can easily walk the full length of Hoboken (17 Blocks) in about 25mins.

I would recommend parking uptown, starting with brunch and mimosas at The Madison, hitting all the best shops uptown (Galatea Lingerie, Homeslice, Viola Vita, Peper, Toots & Tallie), continue a few short blocks down Washington St. to midtown shops (Jesse James*, Sweet Nicholas, Town House No620, Midtown Authentic), stopping for coffee, gelato, or cupcakes for a little midday energy boost along the way (Hoboken Gourmet, Candy Shoppe, Koa Koa Frozen Yogurt, Rita’s Ice, Miami Rice Pudding Co, Lapore’s Home Made Chocolate, Sweet).  End downtown towards Air Studios or American Apparel. In the market for a funny gift for someone special? Pop in to Solid Threads and have a custom shirt made with your friends favorite saying. If you want to burn a few extra calories, you can make the 25min. cross town walk back to your car, or simply jump in one of the cabs lined up in front of the PATH station for just $6 bucks. Before leaving town, you may want to grab some fresh bread and cheese to bring home (Fiore Deli, Marie’s Bakery, Old German Bakery).

The Hoboken shopping experience is all-encompassing…great people watching, good food & drink, and a diverse shopping experience with the women you love….Return home happier and well dressed!
