Women Loving Women, Anyone?

Well not exactly that kind of lovin’…Ha! At least I have your attention! Hey, sex sells and I’m certainly not above using it to promote my own personal agenda. Set your filthy fantasies aside and build up some good karma points by investing in a truly worthwhile cause.

Ladies, Please join me for a night of laughter & support for ovarian cancer research. It’s an inexpensive night out with the girls…for just $35 you can be both entertained and inspired by the most decorated gymnast in U.S. History and ovarian cancer survivor, Shannon Miller. You’ll also get a huge dose of feminine humor from Kerry Louise (regular on Oprah Winfrey & The View) & Sunda Cronquist (performed in the longest running all female comedy show “Femmes Fatales” for the NY Toyota Comedy Festival for 8 years).

All proceeds benefit The Maureen Fund for Ovarian Cancer at The John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Hospital in Hackensack, NJ. This event is very near and dear to my heart for two reasons. One, The Maureen Fund is a wonderful organization named in honor of my dear friend Jackie’s mother who touched the lives of many people in a truly profound way.  Secondly, the event is being hosted at Hackensack University Hospital, which is an amazing facility because it houses some of the worlds most talented and caring doctors and nurses. These are the people who saved my husband’s life and my friend Jackie’s life, as they are both cancer survivors. It’s a place of hope and love. In my experience, it’s a place of modern-day miracles. The doctor’s and nurses at Hackensack are the reason why I will be celebrating two years of my husband’s being cancer free today on his birthday.

Each one of us has been touched by cancer in some way or another. This is the perfect opportunity to share our sorrow and strength for the benefit of others.

If you can’t make the event, or if you’re a man who cringes at the idea of sitting in a room full of estrogen, please take time to visit The Maureen Fund website and make a donation.

I hope to see you there!!!

Peace & Love,

MJ

One in every 60 women develops ovarian cancer. It is the fourth deadliest cancer among women because it is often diagnosed late, when treatment is more difficult or less successful.
